Most people can read and understand English far better than they can speak it. The missing piece isn’t more vocabulary lists — it’s reps. Real, spoken reps. And once you have built that skill, the only way to keep it is to keep using it. That’s the entire reason Velivox exists.
The problem we kept running into
Language apps are great at testing recognition: pick the right word, match the pair, keep the streak. But the moment you need to say something out loud to a real person, none of that practice shows up. Speaking is a separate skill, and it only improves one way — by speaking.
The traditional fix is a tutor or a language partner. It works, but it’s expensive, hard to schedule, and intimidating for a lot of people. Most learners simply never get enough talking time.
