1 License & the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own language-learning practice, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from.

The App does not require you to create an account. A random anonymous identifier is generated on your device on first launch and is used to keep your subscription status, conversation history, and saved vocabulary associated with you. You may reset it at any time by clearing the App data or reinstalling.

2 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent purpose
• Use the App to generate hate speech, sexual content involving minors, or material that violates third-party rights
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where permitted by law
• Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure (including automated scraping, traffic flooding, or vulnerability probing without prior written consent)
• Resell, sublicense, white-label, or commercially exploit the App or its outputs without our prior written consent
• Attempt to circumvent the free-tier daily limit

We may suspend access for any anonymous user identifier we reasonably believe is engaged in abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.

3 Free Tier, Welcome Bonus & Subscriptions

3.1 Free tier

The App offers a free tier that includes real conversation every day, all four natural voices (US/UK, female/male), tap-to-translate vocabulary, and all 14 interface languages. The daily counter resets at midnight in your device’s time zone. See Section 3.2 for the daily time allowance.

3.2 Free daily allowance

The free daily allowance changes based on how long you’ve been using the App: 5 minutes/day for your first 3 calendar days, 3 minutes/day from day 4 through day 7, and 2 minutes/day from day 8 onward. This allowance applies per anonymous user identifier and is not transferable.

3.3 How usage is measured

Both the free daily allowance and Velivox Pro daily limits are measured as conversation time — the combined spoken duration of your input and the AI’s responses during an active dialogue, expressed in minutes of active conversation. Usage is counted per your device’s day and resets at midnight in your device’s local time zone.

3.4 Velivox Pro subscriptions

Velivox Pro is an optional, paid subscription that increases your daily practice time, enables hands-free continuous-conversation mode, and unlocks full vocabulary history and streaks. Pro is sold in three tiers, each available as a Monthly or Yearly auto-renewing plan:

Current prices in your local currency are displayed inside the App before purchase. We may change prices for new sign-ups at any time; existing subscriptions stay at the price you agreed to until your next renewal, where any change will be communicated to you in advance.

3.5 Payment, auto-renewal & cancellation

Payment will be charged to your app-store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your app-store account settings (Google Play → Subscriptions, Apple App Store → Subscriptions). Uninstalling the App does NOT cancel a subscription. Cancelling stops further charges but does not retroactively refund the current period.

3.6 Refunds

All purchases are processed by the app store (Google Play or Apple App Store) and refunds are governed by that store’s policy. Please contact the store directly for refund requests; where possible we will assist by confirming the purchase to the store.

4 AI-Generated Content

Conversations, translations, vocabulary cards, grammar suggestions, and summaries are generated by automated AI systems (currently provided by OpenAI, Groq Whisper, Cartesia, and ElevenLabs). They are produced in real time and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or contain unexpected content.

Velivox is an educational tool for English-language conversation practice. AI output does not constitute professional, legal, medical, financial, or certified-translation advice and should not be relied on for those purposes. Always verify important information independently.

You retain full rights to the text of your own messages. AI-generated replies are provided to you for personal language practice; you may quote them in private notes but should not republish them as your own original content.

6 Intellectual Property

The App — including the Velivox name, logo, design, software, and copyrighted training assets such as system prompts — is owned by Infivion LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or proprietary content beyond the personal-use license described in section 1.

7 Privacy

Your privacy is described in detail in our Privacy Policy. In summary: we do not require a sign-up, we never store voice recordings, and we keep only anonymous, aggregated data for product improvement (no third-party analytics or advertising trackers). Please review the Privacy Policy before using the App.

8 Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Infivion LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.

10 Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, immediately and without notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in abuse, fraud, or unlawful conduct. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it; uninstalling does not cancel any active paid subscription (see section 3.4).

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive.

11 Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply. Any dispute will first be addressed in good faith by writing to support@velivox.app. If we cannot resolve it informally, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

12 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes (for example, changes to subscription rules or dispute resolution) will be reflected by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this page and, where appropriate, an in-App notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
