Request data deletion

How to permanently remove your Velivox data — both the small anonymous record on our servers, and everything stored locally on your device.

TL;DR. Velivox does not require an account, so there is no profile to “delete” in the usual sense. To remove your data: (1) clear the App’s data on your device — this erases everything stored locally and in the App’s local cache; and (2) email support@velivox.app with your anonymous user ID — we will erase your anonymous registration record and any associated server-side data within 30 days, in line with GDPR Article 17 and CCPA § 1798.105.

1 Self-service deletion (instant, recommended)

This removes everything on your device — conversation history, saved vocabulary, voice/accent preferences, anonymous user ID, theme settings, and any cached audio. Most of your data lives only here, so this single action is usually enough.

  1. Open your phone’s Settings app.
  2. Go to Apps (or Applications / App management, depending on your Android version).
  3. Find and tap Velivox.
  4. Tap Storage & cache.
  5. Tap Clear storage (or Clear data). Confirm.
  6. Optional: tap Uninstall to remove the App entirely.
⚠️ Heads-up: clearing the App’s data is irreversible — your conversation history and saved vocabulary cannot be restored. A new random anonymous user ID will be generated the next time you open the App.

2 Server-side deletion (anonymous record + history)

If you also want us to delete the small anonymous record we store on our servers (registration analytics, daily usage counter, conversation history, saved vocabulary, subscription status), please email support@velivox.app with the following details:

  1. Subject line: Data deletion request
  2. Because the anonymous identifier is random and isn’t shown in the App, send us your approximate install date, country, and interface language — that’s what we need to locate your record.
  3. Optional: confirm the email address you would like us to reply to.
  4. Send.

We will respond within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days — sooner where possible. You will receive a confirmation email when the deletion is done.

3 What gets deleted, and what we have to keep

For full transparency, here is exactly what happens to each type of data when you request deletion:

4 Your legal rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR (European Union, United Kingdom), CCPA / CPRA (California), LGPD (Brazil), PIPEDA (Canada), or similar privacy laws, including:

  • The right to access the data we hold about you
  • The right to correct inaccurate data
  • The right to delete your data (covered by this page)
  • The right to restrict or object to processing
  • The right to data portability (we will provide a JSON export on request)
